Spring cleaning is underway now that SPRING is here! Check out these amazing spring cleaning hacks to help make it more fun and easy!

Spring cleaning feels soooo good especially once it’s finished. You may dread this seasonal chore but you don’t have to, it can actually be fun and very rewarding but getting started isn’t always fun and for some it can seem like a daunting task. To help you get to the enjoyable side of spring cleaning, I’ve rounded up some cleaning hacks to leave you with more time to enjoy your fresh and springy home.

Disinfect your sponge in the microwave ~ Fill the sponge with water, set it on a microwaveable plate, and nuke it for two minutes.
Sanitize your mop with vinegar ~ Then, place the mop into a bucket filled with 1-2 gallons of water, followed by a cup of vinegar. After letting it soak for 15 minutes, rinse with water again and air dry.
Go for a reusable, eco-friendly wipe ~ Use them to remove dirt, dust, grease, oil, grime, and over 99% of bacteria from any hard surface.Bonus: They last up to 300 machine washes, which makes them an environmentally-friendly alternative to paper towels.
Refresh your garbage disposal with ice and citrus ~Toss a couple ice cubes down the drain while the disposal is on. This will  help clean the unit as well as sharpen the blades. Next, add a handful of lemon or orange peels (while the disposal is on) to eliminate any smells.
Freshen up your appliances with a natural mix ~ Using baking soda, vinegar, water and a reusable cloth are all you need to clean up appliances. Just mix vegar and water in a spray bottle to wipe down everything and for those stubborn areas like the stove top and inside the oven make a paste of baking soda and vinegar, let sit for 15 minutes then wipe.
Use shaving cream to remove stains from rugs ~ Apply the cream directly to the stain, let it sit for 30 minutes, then do another dab. Spray the stain with a 50/50 mix of vinegar and water. Finally, wipe it dry.
Clean windows with this Windex alternative ~ Mix 8 parts water to 1 part vinegar for a DIY solution. Then wipe the panes down with a coffee filter or newspaper.
Sprinkle baking soda on your mattress ~ Sift baking soda on the surface of your mattress, let it sit for a few hours, then vacuum it up.
Obliterate soap scum with these eco-safe grime fighters ~ With a ratio of 1:1 mix of baking soda and water, then spraying with a 1:1 combo of vinegar and water before wiping it down.
Clean your bathtub ~ First cut a grapefruit in half, then wet down your tub, sprinkle with salt [preferably a coarse kosher salt] and scrub the grapefruit around your tub.
Revamp your washing machine with a little TLC ~ All you have to do is fill the bleach dispenser with bleach or if you prefer an all natural alternative use vinegar BUT DO NOT MIX THESE TOGETHER IT IS DANGEROUS  and run the machine on the hot-water cycle. Can’t stand the smell of bleach and/or prefer a natural alternative?
